Sai Teerth - India's First Immersive Devotional Theme Park

Sai Teerth

As mentioned in my earlier blog (link), after our lunch we took an auto for drop to Sai Teerth and we were charged Rs. 50 for this drive.

We headed straight to the ticket counter and showed the coupons we were given at the hotel. Ticket Price is Rs.450 per person. We got Rs.50 off on each ticket. We then took our tickets and entered the theme park.

There are volunteers to guide you about all attractions inside the park. So there is no fear of missing out here.

Sai Teerth is India’s first ever immersive devotional theme park. There are 4 major attractions here – Teerth Yatra, Dwarakamai, Subka Malik Ek (movie on Sai Baba’s life) and Lanka Dahan(5D show).

We showed our tickets and volunteers guided us towards the first attraction Teerth Yatra.

Teerth Yatra

As you walk towards this attraction, you will see that there is hardly any queue here. Its just like any other ride of an amusement park. You will find 9-seater mini train and you need to hop onto them.

From here starts your spiritual journey across India’s 10 most famous temples. This is a ride of around 10-12 minutes which starts from Mumbai, takes you across all 10 temples and brings you back to Shirdi. Each shrine looks exactly like the real ones. They are so real that you feel like you are going on a Teerth Yatra across all the temples of India.

When we came out, we were guided to proceed towards next attraction – Dwarakamai as the next show here was about to begin at 2:30 PM.

Dwakarakami

In this show, we are transposed to Dwarakamai where we felt like we are sitting right in front of Sai Baba and he is narrating stories to us. Dwarkamai's set also has been created so well to give it a real touch. Unfortunately here photography is not allowed. The duration of this show was around 15-20 minutes. The show wraps up with Lakshmi's story as to how she doesn't get oil from people to lit up the diya's at Dwarkamai and Sai fulfills her wish by lighting all diya's with water. This portion was heart touching.

When we came out, we were guided to proceed towards next attraction – Subka Malik Ek (This is a movie dedicated to the life of Sai Baba right from his arrival into Shirdi till his death). Show time was 3-4 PM. So we were asked to wait for 5 minutes.

Subka Malik Ek Hai (Giant Screen)

We were let inside the movie hall 5 minutes before the show. Seats are very comfortable just like in any multiplex. This movie shows how Sai Baba was first seen below the Neem tree in Shirdi, how he moved to Dwarakamai and many short stories which is truly magical. We got to see Laxmi's Deepawali episode as one of the short stories here in the movie. Also during one of the epidemic how Sai saved people of Shirdi from this epidemic. All are heart touching stories.

When we came out, we were guided to proceed towards last attraction – Lanka Dahan (5D show). Showtime was from 4:15 to 4:45 PM. We had to queue up at the elevator since the capacity was 10 persons. Upon reaching the top floor, there was some time to let us in. During this short break, there was a magician who showed some interesting tricks which really WOWed us.

Lanka Dahan (5D)

We were given 3D glasses and we hopped onto the special chairs for the 5D experience. All of us might have heard the stories about how Lord Hanuman reached Lanka and when his tail was lit with fire by Asur Ravana how he brought entire Lanka to ashes. The same story has been depicted here in 5D and you will be amazed with the immersive experience you get here as if you are moving around with Lord Hanuman with some special effects like water, air, motion and touch.

This was the last show of the theme park. Now we had lots to explore within the theme park itself.

You will find India’s biggest Sai Baba Mosaic made with Rubik’s Cube. Total Rubik’s cube used = 4212. Total time taken = 64 hours.

There are interesting exhibits on Sai where you can click pictures.

Restroom facilities are available and they are well maintained. Restaurant is there inside the theme park. But we didn’t try anything there since we were really not hungry and we had stocked our bottles with enough water to survive for next 1-2 hours.

You wont get tired clicking pictures here. Overall you will easily need around 3 hours to see all the shows and click pictures of the park.

We came outside and here you will find giant wheel of sun temple Konark along with life-size painting of Sai Baba.

We were lucky to have the exact 10 rupee note with us which called for another memorable click at this place 😊.

Overall this theme park is an excellent blend of technology and spiritualism.  This place is a must visit while in Shirdi to immerse yourself into this unique spiritual experience.

We then hopped onto an auto and reached our hotel. We relaxed for sometime and later on headed towards the main temple street for dinner. We decided to have food at the same place we had in the afternoon. We ordered Maharashtra’s famous Pav Bhaji here. While our food was getting prepared I clicked some pictures here. This restaurant is located right opposite to Sai Mandir and on the highway.

After savoring yummy pav bhaji, we headed to hotel and hit the bed soon since we had to wake up as early as 4 am to head to Pune.

20th April 23, 2023

We woke up at 4 am today since we had to board our train from Pune Central station at 11:30 am. Hotel front desk had arranged a cab for us. We started from Shirdi at 5 am and reached Pune at around 9:30 am. We had breakfast at a restaurant inside Pune station. Since we had around an hour or so for our train, I took a stroll around the station to spot some interesting murals or art exhibits.

All major attractions in and around Pune are shown here

This is an exhibit of Shanivarwada

As our train left Pune station, we thanked Sai Baba for giving us peaceful darshan twice and helping us accomplish more than what we had expected on this spiritual journey.
