Egypt - Finale Day - Hurghada : Exploring the sea side of Egypt
We reached Hurghada around midnight and we were put up at Hilton Hurghada Resort Hotel. We had a very busy and tiring day, hence we picked up our room keys and hit the bed instantly. We decided to switch off our phone alarm since next and last day of our Egypt tour was at our leisure for us to explore this beach city and relax 😊.
Hurghada is a beach resort town stretching some 40km along Egypt’s Red Sea coast. It’s renowned for scuba diving mainly and all other kinds of water sports. Hurghada’s long stretch of sandy beach is lined with resort hotels. Overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea, Hotel Hilton Hurghada Resort is a perfect place for retreat in Egypt after a long tiring trip amongst desert and dry heat.
We woke up pretty late next day morning and post breakfast headed to reception to check what activities we could plan for today. While some people headed for water sports, I decided to opt for Submarine ride along with some of my travel mates who also were interesting in exploring this adventurous ride.
I had heard that in Egypt we can also enjoy the experience of authentic Turkish Hammam. But it was in huge demand and slots were booked till afternoon. So post booking submarine ride, I made a booking for the Turkish Hammam so that I can soak into this experience post our ride and a much needed relaxation of the trip.
Submarine Ride
From
hotel, we were taken in a car which was arranged by hotel to the “Sindabad
Submarine” office which was located at a nice scenic place. Ride from hotel to
office was around 30 minutes where in we got a tour of Hurghada city as bonus.
We waited at the booking office for our turn to hop onto a boat which would take us deep inside the sea to then board the submarine. During the wait time we explored the artifacts and other stuffs kept at the office.
Now our submarine started going down deep inside the sea.
This ride was for around 30-40 minutes and we came back to the hotel the same way. We were back to hotel by around 2 pm.
I had a heavy brunch and was not hungry enough to stuff myself with lunch. So we just relaxed a bit around the pool area. And now it was time to get pampered with authentic Turkish hammam. I was super excited since my friends who had gone in the morning slots had revealed so much about this that I couldn’t wait for this anymore.
Turkish Hammam
I have had the opportunity to get myself treated with ayurvedic massages. But this Turkish Hammam is one of its kind. It follows 4 steps of treatment – Turkish Bath, sauna, full body massage and a soothing whirlpool in the end. One staff will be dedicated to you completely for this entire hour. So you feel like a princess getting treated royally. Perfect place to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of this experience and it got added to my diary of memorable moments. A must do once when in Egypt especially on the last day of your tour 😊. Thanks to WOW group for planning Hurghada on the last day.
Sunset Along The Red Sea
After this amazing grooming session, we headed to the fag end of the hotel to witness the amazing sun set along the beach side. The beach is sandy and very clean. It is very less crowded since it’s allowed only for hotel guests. You can take a walk along the beachside and feel the cool breeze. Sun beds are kept so that you can sit, relax and enjoy the sun set. After a weeklong trip witnessing only desert and soaking in heat wave, this was very much required. We saw a different shade of Egypt altogether in Hurghada.
Next day post breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and were transferred to Hurghada airport to catch a flight back to Cairo. After arrival at Cairo airport, we moved to our respective gates to catch flights to our cities back home.
Whether you see Egypt by cruising along the Nile river, on top of a hot air balloon, from camelback or from just above the coral, Egypt's sights are unforgettable. And I was lucky enough to experience all this in one single trip 😊
