Established in the year of 1979 by the Indian railways ,  Mysuru Rail Museum is a museum that lets you immerse in the world of Indian railways. This museum is located very close to Mysuru railway station. Hence in case you arrive early to board train or if there are any delays in your train arrival would suggest to explore this museum which is totally worth it.   When we reached there was no queue at the entry so we took entry tickets quickly and started our exploration. Entry Fee – Rs 50 Timings – 10 am to 5:30 pm   Security was kind enough to tell us to leave our bags, backpacks at the security helpdesk because they knew this would take time to explore and with bags it will be tiresome. We started our exploration now by entering the first gallery which depicted the story of evolution of Indian railways, different signaling systems and many more. There is also a multimedia file which is being played here on a LED tv which shows us the different actors involved in the ecosystem of rail

Ramadevara Betta is a hillock located in Tumakuru district of Karnataka dedicated to Lord Rama. I was keeping a close watch on this trek plan on BMC's (Bangalore Mountaineering Club) website from a long time and finally this week I got to know its happening and I signed up for the same.  A bunch of trekking enthusiasts were picked up from the designated pick up points in Bangalore city early in the morning and started our journey towards Tumakuru. Enroute we took a pit stop for breakfast at Hotel Udupi Grande. Post breakfast, we were given packed lunches and we started our journey towards Ramadevara Betta.  We reached the base point in 30 minutes time from this hotel.   Our trail starting point was Sri Gokula Gaushala.   We took a 5 minutes break here for a quick ice breaking and briefing about the trek by our enthusiastic trek leads.  We were briefed about the trek length which would be 7 KM in total.
