My Pune Travel Diary Day 3 – 7 th August 2022 Last day of my stint in Pune. I had a late evening flight to Bangalore. My driver had recommended to visit Aga Khan Palace on the last day since it is on the way to the airport. So I was picked up from my guest house at around 10:30 am. We reached Aga Khan palace at around 11:30 Am. There is ample parking space here to park your vehicle. Entry fee – There was no entry fee here as well on account of India’s Independence. Usually they charge around Rs 25 for us and Rs 300 for Foreigners. Timings - 9 am to 5:30 PM Some facts – This palace was built by Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan with an aim to provide employment to the people affected by Famine. It is closely linked to the Indian freedom movement as it served as a prison for Mahatma Gandhi, his wife Kasturba Gandhi, his secretary Mahadev Desai and Sarojini Naidu.
